Program Overview

There are four main components of the Cansbridge Fellowship program, all designed to empower Canada’s next generation of leaders and innovators with a global and entrepreneurial mindset.

January to April

Onboarding

The experience starts with our online Basecamp program where Fellows acquire the skills to find their Asia internship, develop a “Don’t Ask Don’t Get” mindset, and learn from mentors in our alumni network.

Early-Mid May

Camp & Conference

Fellows head to Bootcamp to immerse themselves in a week-long leadership development experience and form friendships that will last a lifetime. Afterwards, they meet alumni in-person for the annual Cansbridge Fellowship Conference (CFC) in a major North American entrepreneurial hub. Past CFC speakers include Chamath Palihapitiya (CEO, Social Capital), Laura Buhler (Former CEO, C100), and Amjad Masad (CEO, Replit).

May to August

Asia Internship

Enabled by a scholarship valued at $10,000, Fellows complete a self-organized internship in Asia, catalyzing growth and international perspective. Internships have included medical device design in Bangladesh, music production in Malaysia, product management in Vietnam, and many more. While on internships, Fellows process and communicate their learnings through a series of written reflections.

For Life

Alumni Community

Fellows join a lifelong network of mentors, collaborators, and friends all excelling in their respective domains. The alumni network generously contributes to the operational and financial success of the organization, and self-organizes many community-building events and initiatives.

We select Fellows based on character, not GPA.

Applications to join the Fellowship are available on October 1 to 15.
