Program Overview

The program has four core components, thoughtfully designed to equip fellows with knowledge of Asia, entrepreneurial skills, and a strong sense of purpose—so they’re ready to create impact wherever they go.

January to April

Onboarding

The experience begins with our online Basecamp program, where Fellows are grounded in key mindsets through workshops led by alumni and guest speakers.

These workshops focus on:

  • Awareness: of one's self and place in the world
  • Mindsets: Entrepreneurial, Challenge, Relational, and Growth
  • Application: to one's personal and professional growth

Fellows take ownership of finding their internship, and often land roles through creative ways of cold outreach. Along the way, many surprise themselves with just how much they can make happen.

Early-Mid May

Camp & Conference

Fellows then attend a week-long in-person bootcamp focused on outdoor challenges and personal reflection, leading up to our annual Cansbridge Fellowship Conference (CFC). CFC brings together all alumni to reconnect, lead workshops based on their unique experiences, and engage with top industry leaders.

Past speakers include:

  • Chamath Palihapitiya (CEO, Social Capital)
  • Diana Hu (Group Partner, Y Combinator)
  • Robert Kalin (Founder & CEO, Etsy)
  • Amjad Masad (Founder & CEO, Replit)
  • Jake Karls (Co-Founder, Midday Squares)
  • Laura Buhler (Former CEO, C100)
  • Prominent Canadian University Deans

May to August

Asia Internship

Supported by a $10,000 scholarship, Fellows complete a self-organized internship in Asia lasting at least 10 weeks.

For Life

Alumni Community

Fellows join a lifelong network of mentors, potential co-founders, and friends all excelling in their respective domains. The alumni network generously contributes to the operational and financial success of the organizations, and self-organizes many community building initiatives. Some past initiatives include community trips to Mexico and Peru.

Stories from the Fellows

Read travel diaries from our fellows as they navigate new cultures, challenges, and experiences across Asia.

We Select Fellows Based on Character, Potential, and Proven Impact.
